'Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids'

'Born into Brothels' is a documentary of the lives of 8 children living in the Red Light District of Calcutta, India. Zana, a photographer from America, goes into the Brothels in hopes of being able to document the area. Instead, she is immediatly greeted by the children living there. Eventually, Zana befriends the children and decides to teach them how to take pictures using their very own cameras she provides for them. By doing so, she allows the children to express themselves for the first times and for the audience to also get a feel for how the children live through their own eyes. The eight children are Kochi (10), Gour (13), Avijit (11), Manik (10), Puja (11), Shanti (11), Suchitra (14), and Tapasi (11).
